Top 5 Reasons to Experience Baha Mar!

Do you love the Caribbean islands but aren’t sure which one to visit?

Or have you only seen the islands from a cruise ship and want to find that perfect location to stay and play? Look no further than Baha Mar! With three hotels, warm clear Caribbean waters, gaming, shopping, dining, and water sports, this wonderland has something for everyone. Here are our top 5 reasons you should visit:

1. Baha Bay

Yes, the resort has its own water park and admission is included in your hotel stay. There is so much fun for the entire family! Love a good waterslide? Then, don’t miss out on the Dueling Riptide Coasters or Hammerhead. If you’re really feeling courageous, Devil’s Backbone has all the thrills. The Baha Bay Lagoon and The River offer a more relaxed experience. For true relaxation, check out the Baha Bay Beach Club. This is the perfect spot to relax under swaying palm trees, experience the luxurious infinity pool, and enjoy the full-service menu (their California Coastal bites are delicious).

2. Cabana for the Day

Cabanas are the best to rent for the day. If you enjoy being by the beach or near the pools, there are plenty of rental options. Many have televisions and full-service menus, which give you a great place to lounge and admire the scenery. This is a wise idea for large groups or families traveling with kids, not necessarily for everyday use.

3. Foodie Paradise

With 30 restaurants on the property, everyone can find something to satisfy their taste buds. My family loved Katsuya (Japanese) and Marcus at Baha Mar (Bahamian and other cultural influences). Reservations are required, so please make them in advance. Other fun foodie spots include Umami at Baha Bay (originally a Los Angeles favorite) and Cafe Boulud (A Taste of France) are places you do not want to miss.

4. Flamingo Yoga

There is no shortage of sports on the island but yoga with the flamingo was my favorite. These beauties provide a great backdrop while getting your early morning “namaste” on! Check the schedule for days and times. If yoga isn’t your style, there are basketball courts, bocce ball courts, a racquet club, and a full fitness center available. Also, if water sports are your thing, kayaking and paddle boarding are available.

5. Bars and Lounges

With 18 Bars and Lounges, there is something for everyone's palette. For nightclubs, I recommend Bond at Baha Mar. This large and very luxurious nightclub is the favorite on Cable Beach. The Lynden is a very fun limits lounge that offers top-shelf liquor, fine champagne, and handcrafted cocktails. For a slow relaxed evening, my favorite is the Jazz Bar near the casino. This piano bar provides great jazz sounds and creative cocktails for a sultry night of live music.
