Want to indulge in one of the most influential sports franchises in history? Come to West Loop at the legendary United Center and spend a day at Bulls Fest! The free festival is August 19th-20th and has interactive experiences like art exhibits, food, musical performances, and a 3v3 Basketball tournament. Everyone can join; children, adults, and co-ed teams can sign up. Last year’s Bulls Fest overflowed with live performances from Chicago’s very own Da Brat and G Herbo. Who will perform this year? Listen, everyone needs a little California sunshine, even those in Chicago. While Summer Time Chi already puts you in a better mood, what can brighten your wonderful day in Chicago? The opportunity to spend in a pop-up restaurant inspired by one of the world’s most beloved dolls! Coinciding with the anticipated film, the Malibu Barbie Cafe has set up shop near Little Italy and is now open! From now until September 15th, you can experience the world of Barbie, along with some foods and drinks inspired by the iconic doll. There are many things to do with the kids and some entertaining fun adults can indulge in. So buy some merchandise, take photos inside the Barbie box, bring your friends, and bring your Ken! Just make sure you make reservations first.

3) Lollapalooza After Shows

America’s longest-running, largest independent music festival in the country has become a staple in Chicago. Now the real question is, what are we going to wear?

5) Ravinia

One of the best outdoor concert venues you should experience this summer is Ravinia. Just north in Highland Park (the suburb where Michael Jordan once lived and where they filmed scenes in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off), Ravinia has a long list of headliners that everyone is itching to see. From Lauryn Hill, Ne-Yo, and Santana to Carrie Underwood, Counting Crows, and Jacob Collier. Ravinia is the perfect place to enjoy outdoor concerts! Not sure where to start? Check out the calendar to see who might spark your interest.

6) Millennium Park Concerts and Movies

Millennium Park is a two-for-one. In the middle of downtown Chicago, Millennium Park offers an area of free things for people to do. Their Summer Film Series is showing box office hits like Turning Red and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. They are featuring classic films such as the 90s iconic movie, Clueless, and Barbershop, filmed on the south side of Chicago. As for music, a jazz tribute to Ramsey will be held, as well as performances from PJ Morton and Big Freedia from July to August! Are you ready to come to Chicago to relax or shake a little something? It doesn’t matter, we just hope you come and experience Chicago!
