Brightline Train from Orlando to Miami Gets Two Thumbs Up!

Brightline is the new train connecting Orlando to Miami with West Palm, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and Aventura stops. The rail service first started in 2018 between Miami and West Palm Beach. Trains are designed to reach speeds up to 125 miles per hour.  The experience from passengers has been positive so here are a few things you need to know before purchasing your tickets:

  1. Parking at the Orlando Terminal - You can park at the MCO Airport Garage C on Levels 1-3  for $20 per day. Your second option is South Park Place Economy, where you will shuttle over and then take a 13-minute walk to the Brightline station. Your third option is WallyPark which is $10 per day but please give yourself 30-45min to shuttle back over to the Brightline Station.

  2. The Brightline Schedule - Usually 12-15 trains leave Orlando daily. There are regular (SMART) fares and premium fares. The SMART fares include comfortable business class seats and WiFi with food and beverages available for purchase. The premium fares include a first-class experience with more comfy seats, WiFi, complimentary snacks and beverages, multiple power chargers at each seat, and lounge services. Just a heads up, premium seating is three times the price as the SMART seating but totally worth it!

  3. Baggage - Similar to the airlines’ rules, you can have 1 carry-on bag and one personal item. There is also an option to check bags. If you purchase a premium ticket the first bag is free then an additional $25 per bag. All checked bags must be checked at the Guest Service counter 30 minutes before departure.

  4. Booking - Don't miss out on securing your spot! With an easy reservation process, you can book your spot hassle-free.

  5. Arriving at your destination - Once you’re on board, sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride and all the amenities offered. The train is on a tight schedule so be ready to exit when the doors open. They will give you notice once you’re approaching your destination.

Have a drink and enjoy!!
