Summer is Approaching: The Inside Scoop on Summer Camps


As the school year begins to wind down, children begin to wind up. The allure of what the summer vacation will bring dances like sugar plum fairies in their eyes. Summertime can be hailed as the best time for kids. Family vacations, playing with friends every day, and the pièce de résistance: summer camp. This is where some serious fun goes down! One of the biggest benefits is that the kids are having so much fun, they don’t even realize they’re learning.

While there are a plethora of summer camps to choose from, it can be quite the task of discovering the perfect one for your child.

Well, we are here to lend a helping hand! Check out our list of some great summer camps you may not know about.

The Ice Factory of Central Florida

Looking for a unique summer camp that builds confidence, coordination and keeps them cool at the same time? The Ice Factory summer skating camp is like no other! This camp has a great balance of structured activities along with unstructured time to play and skate. Unsure of how to skate? That’s okay! They will teach your child how to skate.

Camp runs every week starting May 31st through August 5th.

Orlando Science Center

Orlando Science Center offers hands-on STEM Summer Camps so that children entering Preschool through 9th grade can dive deep into their favorite topics while school is out!

In an age very dependent on innovation and creativity, their programs provide children with a platform for cultivating their interests while working collaboratively with peers. This program helps develop lifelong skills, enriching their lives and future community.

In addition to developing an engaging and educational curriculum, Orlando Science Center’s team has worked with the American Camp Association and their CDC liaisons to help design a high-quality health and safety plan to support campers and staff.

Florida Film Academy

Choose from a wealth of themed camps for students ages 7 to 18.
Students experience getting involved in directing, filming acting, and post-production with easy-to-use yet powerful film tools. Students are teamed into small groups according to age. An instructor for each group will give individual attention to each student. Also, every student has a chance to experience all of the roles in the film crew.

Camps run Monday – Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Before and aftercare are available on request for an additional charge.

All Kids Spanish

Virtual Summer Camp GROUP PROGRAM begins May 31st and ends August 13th. The summer program is a virtual space for children to explore, interact but most of all have fun in the Spanish language.

The GROUP PROGRAM is excited to provide an effective online live option to engage students in practicing the Spanish language all while experiencing a fun and interactive activity. In every class, the students will complete a project. The teacher will guide students step-by-step.

Orlando Circus School Circus Camp

Have you ever looked to go somewhere extraordinary during summer vacation or spring break? Well, look no further and run away with the circus at this camp. In just a few days your child will learn various skills on objects such as aerial skills, Lyra, and static trapeze which includes presentation and correct use of the technique. Circus camp also includes learning basic tumbling and trampoline tricks for kids of all levels. Camp runs from June 6th to August 5th.
