9 Songs Usher Needs to Perform at Halftime

R&B icon Usher has had a dazzling year! Between new music, love on social media for his viral skating videos, and consistent praises for his critically acclaimed Las Vegas residency, which has drawn in fans worldwide, including A-List celebs. Now, Usher is about to embark on a new journey, getting ready to perform on the biggest stage of his life, the Superbowl!

As I’m sure you’ve heard, Usher is set to headline the 2024 Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show. No details have been released about what to expect from Usher, however, the halftime show will take place in Las Vegas. His fans on social media are more than ecstatic about his upcoming performance. The Grammy-Award winner has plenty of hits to choose from for his 13-minute performance, but we have a few suggestions ourselves. Here are 9 songs Usher needs to perform at Halftime.

  1. My Way

Although, many people have an idea of what his opening song should be, and many might disagree with this, in my humble opinion, “My Way.”

2. U Don’t Have to Call

This song would bring such a beautiful moment to the Halftime Show. Imagine the stadium being pitch black, and then all of a sudden, you hear the intro to this song…the crowd will go wild!

3. Party

Now I know this isn’t an Usher song, but I do believe this would set the mood and keep the hype during his Halftime show. He can just sing his part and we’ll love it.

4. No Limit

This is an underrated Usher song that deserves some shine!

5. DJ Got Us Fallin in Love

One of many party anthems that shows his crossover appeal.

6. Caught Up

Oh! If you’re a true Usher fan, you know why he needs to perform this song. Can imagine the crowd going wild when this beat drops?

7. U Remind Me

Another Usher classic that would be great to please the ladies in the crowd and bring back the 2000’s nostalgia.

8. I Need a Girl (Part One)

Again, I know that this is technically not Usher’s song (he’s one of the featured artists on it while Diddy is the main artist), but I’ll admit I want him to perform this song the same way he performed it at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards, chain swinging and all.

9. Yeah!

This is the best song to end his performance because it’s arguably his most successful and biggest hit worldwide. I guarantee you that if Usher ends his performance with this, and the fireworks and pyrotechnics start to go off, the crowd will love it! Knowing Usher, he’ll have a spectacular way to end this performance, and “Yeah!” will be just the icing on top of the cake.
